Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs)

STPs are being produced by every health and care system in England. They will show how local services will evolve and become sustainable, in line with the NHS’ five year vision for better health, better patient care and improved NHS efficiency. Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer for the NHS in England explains what this means in practice for STPs across the country.

The STP for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) is one of 44 plans nationally.

The draft STP for LLR and media statement are now available (21/11/2016). There is more information about STPs on the NHS website.
