Patient and public involvement
Better care together (BCT) is a partnership. We need to hear the views and thoughts of patients, carers, the public, voluntary sector organisations and statutory bodies to make it work.
To ensure that this happens we have a Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) group, which is made up of passionate and knowledgeable individuals, who work closely with the teams managing each pathways to shape future services.
As the programme develops new pathways are starting and from time to time some of our existing volunteers leave, so we are always looking for new, enthusiastic PPI representatives. We welcome applications for volunteers for any of our workstreams, but in particular we are looking for people to work in the following areas, as they are not currently represented:
- Resilient Primary Care
- Children's, Maternity and Neonates
- Information Management and Technology
If you would like to get involved in helping to shape health and social care in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) please fill in and submit the involvement form below. The role of PPI is not paid but expenses are reimbursed and carers may be able to claim back the cost of additional expenses to pay for other carers while they involved in work for BCT.
To apply to be a PPI volunteer please download and return this form. Alternatively you can fill in the eform.
