Come and join our events in October and November.

Join us at an open engagement event to hear what is happening in health and care services in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, to improve services.

The NHS has the opportunity of significantly investing in the outdated acute hospital buildings in Leicester bringing them up to date. This investment will  improve services for local people.

To hear more come along to one of our open engagement events. All the events will be held between 5pm and 7.45pm with the exception of Eyres Monsell which will be held 5pm – 6.30pm.

People can also discuss at the events, other work that is underway to make care better for patients – including improvements to the healthcare that patients receive at home and in the local community.

The agenda also provides the opportunity to talk to NHS staff about the improvements being made to many local services including those provided in your own home, in your GP practice, in a local clinical or community hospital as well as in one of the hospitals in Leicester.

You will also hear more about proposals to reconfigure the three hospitals in Leicester – moving acute services to two hospitals – Leicester Royal Infirmary and Glenfield Hospital and providing some non-acute services at Leicester General Hospital.  It is also the opportunity to discuss the consolidation of level 3 intensive services and the impact on wider configuration.

People can just drop-in for an informal conversation about NHS services that matter most to them between 5pm and 6pm, or attend the formal presentations and question and answer session commencing at 6.00pm.  You can also attend for the entire event.  The Eyres Monsell will be just for drop-in and informal conversation.
